Is the new Shure MV7X really ”just” a podcast mic or can you also record music with it? Here’s what the Shure MV7X sounds like with a strummed acoustic guitar, when compared to a Shure SM57.
• The microphones were recorded using a Cranborne Audio Camden EC2 preamp.

Trying out my new pair of Røde M5 microphones by recording my Takamine N-20 jumbo acoustic.
• Distance to microphones approximately 60 cm.
• XY-positioning and close (25 cm between mics) AB-miking.
• Focusrite Saffire 6 USB to Garageband.
